Upon founding her fashion design company, Ms. Bergman constructed each unique piece by hand out of her home studio. The demand for her dresses quickly outgrew the rate in which she was able to produce them. Now, she is joined by a talented team of independent seamstresses and tailors from in and around Chicago. Ms. Bergman is committed to producing her high quality designs locally with skilled craftsmanship, paying fair wages, and remaining integrally involved in every step. Each item in every collection is a limited edition piece, handmade with the highest quality materials. Whether she cuts and dyes the fabrics or sews an entire piece, Ms. Bergman still has a hand in every item she ships.

A family-taught sewer and self-trained designer, Ms. Bergman has been designing since childhood. She graduated from the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor with a bachelor of arts degree in English Literature. She supplemented her concentration with four years of photography, metal work, and textiles classes in the University of Michigan's School of Art and Design. While attending school, Ms. Bergman was a photo editor at The Michigan Daily and won a number of awards for her photographs and illustrations. Prior to attending university, Ms. Bergman spent a summer studying jewelry and metals at the Rhode Island School of Design in Providence. In 2008, Ms. Bergman had the honor of showing her collection at Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion presentation in Chicago's Millennium Park.
